Jason Hope´s Insights On Longevity Research

What is longevity? It is simply living a long life. Jason Hope views stem cell research being done today will help people live longer by treating certain diseases that shorten life. He knows that despite some groups who are against stem cell research; it continues to grow and remains a ray of hope for many people.

Various companies, both startups and established biotech companies, are continuing to engage in research as activist investor Jason Hope comments. It’s been decades since scientists extracted embryonic stem cells from a human being for the first time. They went on to successfully grow parent stem cells, which led to a great deal of excitement in the scientific community.

There was hope that they could regenerate cells in the bodies of people with Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s disease. There was hope that they could help people with many other age-related conditions as well; Jason Hope knows that except for treating certain blood disorders, medical associations and the general scientific community did not endorse stem cell therapy.

Businessleader and Philanthropist Jason Hope

A great deal more research is needed. Hope backs the (Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence Organization, which supports stem cell research to prevent degenerative diseases, Jason Hope explains. SENS is currently working on clinical trials for preventing Parkinson’s disease.

Jason Hope knows the road to stem cell therapies is going to be bumpy. Too many startups are making amazing claims that they can’t back up, so the public is wary as the activist investor adds. However, Hope knows that further research is necessary because, while longevity is important, people also want a better quality of life if they are living longer.
