Zaxby’s, a famous American restaurant chain known for its delicious chicken wings and fingers, recently announced that Bernard Acoca had been appointed CEO. Co-founder Zach McLeroy, the CEO for the past 27 years, will transition to the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Acoca, who joined Zaxby’s as President and CEO-elect, brings tremendous experience in the restaurant industry. Before joining Zaxby’s, Acoca was the CEO of El Pollo Loco, a Mexican-style grilled chicken restaurant chain.

In his new role as Zaxby’s CEO, Bernard Acoca will drive the company’s growth and expansion plans and oversee its daily operations. He will work closely with Zach McLeroy, who will continue to provide strategic guidance and support in his new role as Chairman.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead Zaxby’s and build upon the foundation that Zach and his team have created over the past 27 years,” said Acoca. “Zaxby’s is an iconic brand that its customers belove, and I am happy to work with the team to take it to the next level.”

Under Zach McLeroy’s leadership, Zaxby’s grew from a single restaurant in Statesboro, Georgia, to over 900 locations across the United States. The company has become known for its delicious food, friendly service, and unique brand personality. With Bernard Acoca, Zaxby’s is poised for continued growth and success in the years to come.

The appointment of Bernard Acoca as the new Zaxby’s CEO is a positive development for the company and its customers. With his extensive experience and strong leadership skills, Acoca is well-equipped to lead Zaxby’s, while Zach McLeroy’s continued involvement as Chairman ensures that the company’s legacy and values remain intact.

Zach McLeroy co-founded the restaurant with Tony Townley in 1990 and expressed confidence in Acoca’s ability. “I have known Bernard for several years, and I am confident that he has the experience, leadership skills, and vision to take Zaxby’s to greater heights,” said McLeroy.
