Another surprising fact about Sweetgreen Restaurants is it does not have a headquarters. The three partners do not believe in the big corporate headquarters. Their management strategy is closing the corporate offices so that everyone can get a chance to work at the restaurant. This also ensures that they are close to their customers. Nevertheless, Sweetgreen is admired by most legacy restaurants and if given another chance, they would want to look like them.

Founding Sweetgreen

The co-founders were together in an entrepreneur class at the Georgetown University. All their parents are entrepreneurs and first-generation immigrants. They had so much in common and that brought them together to start their first restaurant in August 2007 after graduating. After winter break, the three partners were sure their business would survive as there were no students yet the eatery was not affected. According to Ru, it was hard for them to let go of some work that they were doing before forming their team. They learned that to avoid that, it is important to build the team sooner before you get too attached. Securus Technologies Helping Officers Make City Safer

In order to get dangerous criminals off the streets to make a city safer, officers rely on information from a number of sources. When we are unable to get help from the public, then we have to rely on our skills and years experience to try and get a read on suspects. We had a very difficult situation on our hands as a fugitive was committing crimes that were escalating in danger and putting the entire community at risk.

Since we knew who the suspect was, all we did at first was tail his family and friends and try to get anyone to talk. His network of close friends and family were hiding him good, and frustrating law enforcement any chance they could. We would arrive at his parent’s house minutes after he left, and this played out week after week.

On my visit to the prison to see if anyone would talk, the team of corrections officers notified me I may want to check out the new inmate call monitoring system installed by Securus Technologies. This company is world-renowned as the leader in monitoring systems, and CEO Rick Smith says his company is committed to making the world safe for us all. This Dallas-based company was the key to making my job much easier.

I decided to dive into the LBS software to see for myself because none of the inmates would talk to me, so maybe they were talking among themselves. Within hours of my training, we got an alert that there was chatter concerning an inmate and his cousins outside of town who were in the process of storing a package until the heat cooled down. No sooner did he inquire about the package condition, we dispatched a team to the location and found our fugitive hiding in a closet.

Dr. Cameron Clokie Bone Regeneration Discovery Changes Reconstructive Surgery Procedures in Toronto and Globally

Dr. Cameron Clokie is a professional surgeon based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His area of specialty is in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Besides practicing in the area, Dr. Cameron was teaching at the University of Toronto as a professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery up until he retired earlier this year. He did his Ph.D. at McGill University where he concentrated his doctoral research on bone regeneration.

Cameron has several publications to his name where he gives in-depth and well-researched information regarding general oral care, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and bone regeneration. His immense contribution to the dental practice as a teacher, researcher, and a clinician has earned him tremendous respect from dentists across the world.

Bone Regeneration Technique by Dr. Clokie

While still at the University of Toronto, Dr. Cameron Clokie developed an efficient bone degeneration method by use of proteins. Dr. Cameron discovered that proteins could be used to induce the conversion of stem cells into bone tissues. Learn more about Cameron Clokie: http://www.ideacity.ca/speaker/cameron-clokie/

By so doing, he realized that coaxing jaws in adults could be made to regenerate just like they do in infants. In Dr. Clokie’s words, the technique is simply bone generation in the embryonic state. The procedure was performed on eight patients at Toronto General Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital about a decade ago and the results were spectacular.

Revolutionary Discovery

The discovery by Dr. Clokie has and will continue revolutionizing the reconstructive surgery procedures. Traditionally, the procedure involved removing a bone or a muscle from one area on the patients’ body and using them to fill gaps in the affected areas. This procedure is usually painful, which makes the Clokie’s technique to be seen as a hope for the future.

Cases in Point

Janine McFarlane was suffering from ameloblastoma and had to go through the traditional reconstructive surgery. Another patient, Peter Russel, was suffering from a benign tumor and opted to undergo the Clokie’s procedure.

Russel was in his 60s then while Janine was in her 20s. After the completion of the two procedures, the results were completely different. For Janine, she had to undergo a 19-hours operation followed by a two-week stay in the hospital. For Russel, his operation took only four hours followed by two days in the hospital.

A Small Organization, End Citizens United Takes on the Powerful Washington DC Insiders

Big corporations and some wealthy people have effectively hijacked the constitutional process. Powerful lobbyists have bought their way up the annals of government. And, this has come as a detriment to the regular citizens. There’s a certain group, however, determined to fight back the power brokers who get to do and say as they well, please. No one dares ask a question if a company owned by one of the élite donors accidentally happens to cause an accidental oil spill in the middle of the ocean. And, we know what damage and devastation suck spills end up doing to the fragile marine eco-system and environment.

Amounts Raised in 2016

Now, there’s finally a reformist watchdog which has the sure makings of changing that distasteful trend once and for all. It goes by the name, End Citizens United. You could think of it as a Democratic-leaning PAC. The Pac got founded a few years back but surprisingly, it is now reporting that it estimates to raise $35 million dollars by the December 2015. So far, the organization has succeeded in pooling in $4 million dollars from well-wishers and sympathizer donors. But then again, the company has a solid reputation of delivering stellar results and outcomes in their pursuits. How else would they one explain how a starter venture goes from obscurity to having a roster bearing the names of about 100K members in just two years? Two, how did this super PAC manage to raise $25M in funding for the Democratic Party in the heated 2016 U.S general elections?

Decisive Ruling

The overarching agenda of the outlet is to raise funds to mobilize and campaign for elected officials who don’t agree with the Republicans. The latter are in favor of having no legislation and regulations about the amounts of money given out to candidates running for elective office. That is actually, where the bone of contention arose first: In 2015 the U.S Supreme Court made a divisive ruling that forever changed the political landscape. It was this particular ruling which inspired the name of the reform watchdog corporation, End Citizens United, in the first place.

Remarkable Solution

Moving on. The group gets ran by experts who’ve worked with campaign teams and therefore, they know all the right people in the inner workings of the political realm. A huge advantage when lobbying up support for a preferred partner running for a vacant congressional seat in a particular state. The group works on an open and transparent premise which dictates that no one donor should dole out more than five thousand dollars to their campaign. The latter move by End Citizens United has proven to be a remarkable deterrent against any one person wanting to manipulate the will of the people because they donated $100 million.

Pattiz Releases Results of Edison Research Study on Brand Successes on PodcastOne

The internet continues to change not just how people stay up on current events and seek out entertainment, but also how marketing companies are reaching new customers and learning about what the consumer market is currently seeking. This makes PodcastOne an ideal candidate to host advertisements for products that are seeking to get ahead of the curve in their particular niche. To learn just how much of a difference an online presence has, Executive Chairman Norman Pattiz sought the assistance o Edison Research to track five major brands and see just how effective their promotional efforts had been on his network.

Edison Research tracked these brands through their 2016 campaigns, and bookended that monitoring with surveys of listeners before the campaigns aired and then they concluded. Edison found that upwards of 60% of listeners of PodcastOne were able to more readily identify grocery brands after the ads ran, which is a 7% increase from similar tracking in 2015.

Other brands tracked included lawn and garden services, automobile products, and financial services, and their level of awareness among listeners rose by 24%, 37%, and 47% respectively.

In addition to brands becoming more recognizable with listeners of PodcastOne, Edison Research also found that positive views of these products and services were as high as 18% over their rating in the previous year. This also meant that listeners were more likely to become first-time customers for these brands as well.

Norman Pattiz announced the results of the Edison Research survey in a public statement. Pattiz went on to stay that PodcastOne had been confident of their reach when it came to bringing new information to listeners, the research was there to simply verify this belief with concrete numbers that could compare against traditional media outlets. Pattiz hopes that the information made available from this research will give brands a new perspective on what make a viable outlet for advertising in the future.
